Our commitment to you, our valued guest, is the freshest food possible cooked from scratch in our own kitchen.
Geeve Sandhu | Owner, Squires Public House
Ye Olde Squire Burlington has served many loyal guests their favourite food and drink since 2007. In 2015, we became Squires Public House, which harkens back to an era where a pub became more than just a place to have a meal, but a gathering spot to celebrate friends and family. It became an extension of people’s homes. That is how I envisioned the evolution of my pub, and now we are proud to present our new home to you and your families to enjoy for years to come.
We are dedicated to the craft of home cooking, and endeavor to bring to you all of the classics a good Public House has to offer, but also unique and different offerings from other gathering places around the world.
Food is our passion, and it drives us to create new and interesting offerings each time our Chef steps into the kitchen.
Many of my family’s original recipes are on our menu along side many that are staples in my own kitchen at home. My daughter Malaysia loves the Sticky Toffee Pudding and was my “test victim” for the many versions that were created, and discarded! My son Kaylan loves our hand-breaded Fresh Chicken Fingers, so much so that he will not eat them anywhere else!
I grew up eating food made from recipes that my mother brought over from India, passed along from her mother. One of those recipes I proudly feature on our menu; Rajinder’s Curry Chicken is a favourite of mine and for legions of our guests over the years. It is made in our kitchen just like my mom has made it in hers, right from scratch, for over 60 years!
Fresh chicken, hand-cut butcher’s beef, scratch sauces, hand-cut Yukon Gold fries, and a true aversion to anything frozen are what Squires Public House will continue to stake its reputation on. I am fortunate to have a partner in Chef Steven Lightfoot who not only shares my passion for great food, but executes it each and every day for our valued guests.
Thank you sincerely for choosing our Public House. We realize that you have many choices in where you can spend your hard earned money, and we are grateful that you have chosen us! I hope that you enjoy your experience as much as we have enjoyed hosting it for you, your friends and your family.
Cheers!
